Marutake Shime Saba, 1Pack
Mackerel is called saba (鯖) in Japanese and the word shime (しめ) comes from the verb shimeru (しめる) meaning firm up the flesh of the fish/meat. Hence, this dish is called “shime saba” (しめ鯖).
- Defrost the Shime Saba in the refrigerator or in cold water for 30 minutes.
- Remove the package from the fish and pat dry with paper towel.
- Cut the fish into slices and eat raw.
